How to Get More Podcast Reviews

As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

How do I get more podcast reviews?

This is one of the questions I consistently get asked by clients. The purpose behind reviews is simple: humans like to know someone else has tried something first and that they vouch for it. It’s the same reason you scroll down to read the Amazon customer reviews before purchasing a product. It’s all a part of the Know, Like, Trust idea that Melody and I talked about on last week’s show.

Podcast Reviews helps establish your podcast’s reputation, gives you ideas on how to improve your content, and ultimately helps influence people to listen to your show. With so many entertainment options and things vying for our time, a five-star rating is often the clincher that makes a potential listener choose one podcast over thousands of others.

So, let’s tackle the inexperience, fatigue, and inspiration that holds you back from growing your influence and impact.

Listen in to learn more about :

  • Before you start trying to crack the code on asking for reviews, first make sure your podcast has great audion and value-based content.
  • Some strategies to help you get more podcast reviews: ask your most loyal fans include a call to action in each episode, set up a contest, or provide incentives!
  • Consider using a service like Podrover, Podkite, or Rating Catcher, to help you keep track of your reviews all in one place.
  • don’t let them distract you from your main goal: Creating a SOLID podcast. Always remember, 5-star reviews are just the icing on the cake
