Effective Podcast Marketing Strategies

One of the most common questions that get asked from podcasters is, “ What actually WORKS to grow your podcast?” In fact, one client asked me a version of this question yesterday during their monthly strategy call.
I’d venture to guess that you most likely started your own podcast to spark a conversation about something you’re passionate about. Whether it was to share God’s word, showcasing your expertise as a marketing expert, or just wanting to create a show to bring awareness. Your goal was to grow a community of listeners worldwide who value your perspective on a topic.
So many times, I hear things like, “It is so hard to get people to know my show exists. I’ve tried everything to boost my numbers…it’s so hard to promote yourself above the sea of podcasts, especially if you’re not a new buzzy show.”
If those statements sound like you, then this episode is just for you!! In this episode, I’ll be taking a deep dive into how to make sure your podcast is a quality product, as well as 10 action steps you can take to market your podcast. ( I even give you 2 BONUS TIPS!!)
So, let’s tackle the inexperience, fatigue, and inspiration that holds you back from growing your influence and impact.
Listen in to learn more about :
- 3 pillars of podcasting: quality, consistency, and growth.
- Instead of leaping on the latest marketing trend, focus on creating value through strong relationships and quality content.
- Your listeners need to gain something from each episode. They either learned new information or skill, were entertained, or the content satisfied a curiosity.
- No amount of marketing dollars will grow an audience for a subpar product, so spend time refining your formula to produce high-quality episodes.
If you’re struggling to release consistent quality podcast episodes, then mark your calendars for next week’s episode! I’ll be talking all about podcast workflows and how to set deadlines and milestones, whether you are a one-woman show or working with a team!
