The conversation about AI and podcasting is loud right now, and a lot of it is generating more panic than clarity. I use AI tools every single day, and here’s what I actually believe: AI is not coming for your podcast. It’s a filter that makes the distinction between a podcast and a content machine very, very clear.

In this episode, I break down what AI does well (a lot, honestly), what it genuinely cannot do, and why the podcasters with nothing to worry about are the ones who already know why their podcast exists.

Key Takeaways

  • AI produces remarkably well. Outlines, scripts, show notes, brainstorming, and strategy. Use it for the volume work and free yourself up for the judgment work. If you’re not using it yet, you’re leaving time on the table.
  • AI can perform conviction. It cannot have one. A conviction is not an opinion. It’s the thing that holds you, the message you’d say, whether or not it was popular. That’s yours. AI has no stake in your message.
  • A niche is a content category. A calling is a reason. The podcasts that last are not the most produced ones. They’re the most called ones. AI cannot carry a calling because a calling requires believing you’re supposed to.
  • Your voice was built by a life AI did not live. It can mimic your cadence and clone your patterns. It cannot be the specific voice shaped by your history, your hardship, and your particular experience of God.
  • AI is a filter, not a threat. The podcasters panicking right now are the ones who were already making content, not a podcast. If that’s you, this is not a condemnation. It’s an invitation to get back to your actual message.

Let’s just say it: the podcasting space is loud and getting louder. (As in, “Black Friday at a big-box store” loud.)

AI tools are cranking out robotic scripts, big brands are jumping on the bandwagon, and the charts are crowded with shows that sound like copy/paste versions of each other. It feels like everyone and their neighbor’s dog walker has a show now.

Above all the noise, here’s what I want you to hear: for women like us, podcasting is not just content. It is a calling.

If you are a faith-filled woman behind a mic, you aren’t just adding to the noise or screaming into the void of the internet. You are stewarding something holy.

The Rise of Shallow Shows

Podcasting used to be about connection and intimacy, that sense that someone chose you to speak into their ears while they folded laundry or walked the dog. That’s still true, but in addition to that, now we’re seeing a flood of keyword-chasing content with zero heart behind the mic.

More people starting shows? I’m here for it, but not every show is worth listening to.

We don’t need more voices to listen to, and we don’t need more shows to choose from. What we do need are voices that are clear, called, and courageous. As a Christian podcaster, you are uniquely equipped to step into that gap.

Why You Are the Future of This Space

People are tired of polished perfection and AI slop. They are craving what is real: vulnerability over vanity, truth over trends, and hope over hype.

As women of faith, we are already wired for this. We know how to show up with authenticity and share stories that matter. We know how to weave scripture and lived experience together like a patchwork quilt that feels like home.

And yet I see us downplay our voices all the time. “Oh, it’s just a little podcast.”

Can we cut “little” from our vocabulary when we are talking about our calling? Friend, if you have a mic in your hand and God put something in your heart, that is not little. That is legacy.

Your Podcast Is a Pulpit

You might be thinking, “Whoa, Tammy — I’m not a preacher.

I hear you! But whether you’re talking about motherhood, menopause, or marketing, when you show up with a faith-led lens and lead with integrity, you are ministering to your listeners.

That episode on burnout, that story about starting over, that encouragement you offered in a solo episode? Every bit of it is kingdom work.

Stewardship Over Hype

Most podcast advice these days sounds like a hustle checklist: post three times a week, chase viral hashtags, and let AI write your scripts. I love a good system, and I’m obsessed with strategy, but I care more about you stewarding your voice well.

What does good stewardship of your show look like?

It can take different forms in different seasons, but overall, it looks like being consistent and also being rested. It looks like planning your seasons around God’s pace, not hustle culture. Sometimes it means taking breaks without guilt, and saying no to trends that don’t align with your mission.

Jesus never sprinted to the next city. He walked with purpose. You can too.

My Challenge to You

Whether you’re 5 episodes in or 500, stop minimizing your show. Treat it like it matters, because it does.

Invest in your messaging and your production, not for perfection, but for the sake of serving your audience with clarity. Stop comparing yourself to the influencer with a team of twelve and a media studio. Run your race and steward your show.

In 2026, I am leaning hard into this mindset. I want to work with clients who aren’t just chasing downloads — these women want depth. If you feel a tug on your heart to get serious about your show this year, consider this your nudge.

Let’s build something bold, beautiful, and something that outlives an algorithm. Keep showing up, even when it’s quiet. You have an assignment that no one else can fulfill.

You ready? I am. Let’s go light it up.

P.S. If you’re ready to move past the noise and build a show with real substance, I’d love to help you do it! I’m hosting a Podcast Intensive to help you sharpen your message and master your strategy. Spaces are limited because I want to give each of you my full attention. Hey friends! 🎙

Ever wonder how to talk about pop culture on your podcast without compromising your faith?

From movies and music to viral trends, pop culture shapes the world around us—and chances are, your audience is paying attention. In this episode, I’m diving into how Christian podcasters can engage with cultural topics in a thoughtful, faith-centered way. We’ll talk about setting boundaries, using pop culture as a bridge to deeper conversations, and even how to use it to grow your audience. Let’s navigate this together!

3 Actionable Takeaways:

  1. Set Your Boundaries – Decide what types of pop culture content align with your faith and mission.
  2. Use Pop Culture as a Hook – Start episodes with relevant trends to draw listeners in before diving into biblical truth.
  3. Encourage Critical Thinking – Help your audience analyze media through a biblical lens rather than just reacting to it.

💡 Pro Tip: You don’t have to avoid pop culture—you need to engage with it thoughtfully and prayerfully.

Hey friend! 🎙

Have you noticed the surge in faith-based content lately? From The Chosen to I Can Only Imagine, Christian media is thriving—and guess what? That means more opportunities for podcasters like YOU!

In this episode, we’re talking about why this movement is happening, what it means for Christian creators, and how you can leverage this trend to grow your podcast while staying true to your mission.

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to reach a deeper audience, this episode will give you the insights and encouragement you need to share God’s message with confidence.

3 Actionable Takeaways:

1. Embrace Your Niche – Your podcast isn’t for everyone, and that’s a good thing! Focus on the audience God has called you to serve.

2. Leverage Storytelling – Just like The Chosen brings scripture to life, use personal stories to create deep connections with your listeners.

3. Collaborate for Growth – Guest on other faith-based podcasts, invite creators onto your show, and expand your reach through partnerships.

💡 Pro Tip: Don’t stress about having huge download numbers. A smaller, engaged audience that truly connects with your message is far more valuable than big stats!
